One of Lonely Planet's top three picks for the East Cape/Hawkes Bay area. The bay has 8km of coast and has a 4 square supermarket, a café, takeaway and the Te Puka Tavern which overlooks the sea. The East Cape is an unspoilt slice of New Zealand. Climb the Maori sacred mountain and view the Maori statues.
