The Wairoa isite Visitor Information Centre is part of New Zealand's official nationwide Visitor Information Network.

Located on SH 2, midway between Napier and Gisborne, Wairoa is the gateway to the Te Urewera National Park and stunning Lake Waikaremoana. Visitors are able to enjoy numerous short walks in the National Park or complete the spectacular Great Walk. To the north of Wairoa is the Mahia Peninsula with its beautiful beaches and the Morere Hot Springs.
