Fiona Collis (Te-Aitanga-ā-Hauiti, Te-Whānau-ā-Apanui, Ngāi Tūhoe, Ngāti Raukawa ki te Tonga) is a Tairāwhiti-based fibre and textiles artist. Drawing on traditional knowledge passed down by her ancestors, Fiona weaves heritage techniques with contemporary creativity, exploring the richness of Māori textiles in new and innovative ways.

Fiona first featured at the Shepherdess Muster in 2023, sharing her practice with audiences from across Aotearoa. Through her work, Fiona connects with audiences both locally and globally, using social media to share the stories, inspiration and cultural grounding behind each piece. Whether online or in person, her artistry opens a window into the textures, traditions and evolving expression of Māori textile arts in Tairāwhiti.
